Established in 1916, NSK was the first company in Japan to
manufacture ball bearings. Since then, NSK has developed numerous
types of bearings and supplied these to customers throughout the
world, contributing greatly to the advance of machine performance
and innumerable industries. Currently, NSK is the leading bearing
manufacturer in Japan and second in the world. In addition, making
use of the precision machining technology it had cultivated over
the years through the manufacture of bearings, NSK at an early
stage diversified its product lineup to include such products
as automotive products, precision machinery and parts, and mechatronics
products. The NSK group, which has been expanding its presence
in overseas markets aggressively since the 1960s, presently has
sales companies in 25 countries and more than 30 overseas plants.
